Amileena ...

Waleli - Yoleli - click here to listen to the song.

Life is our most precious gift.

It is upon us to treasure and preserve it, because it comes with no sequels; no re-runs,

Following up on her award winning hits Shine, Why, Hali Mahututi, Mawazo and Naona Bado, in the wake of the heartache and melancholy about our beloved country, Amileena slants her message on LOVE towards a more collective effort in her brand new single:

WAYELE

It is a thought-provoking emotional call to action for humanity to singularly but not single-mindedly, evolve beyond race, gender, creed, orientation and other such grounds for the prosperity and preservation of mankind.

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success

Conducted a session on 25th October based on a book by Deepak Chopra - The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. This book has been translated into more than 50 languages.
Surely – there must be something good about it.

In summary

1. The Law of Pure Potentiality: Take time to be silent, to just BE. Meditate for 30 minutes twice a day. Silently witness the intelligence within every living thing. Practice non-judgment.

2. The Law of Giving: Today, bring whoever you encounter a gift: a compliment or flower. Gratefully receive gifts. Keep wealth circulating by giving and receiving care, affection, appreciation and love.

3. The Law of Karma: Every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in like kind. Choosing actions that bring happiness and success to others ensures the flow of happiness and success to you.

4. The Law of Least Effort: Accept people, situations, and events as they occur. Take responsibility for your situation and for all events seen as problems. Relinquish the need to defend your point of view.

5. The Law of Intention and Desire: Inherent in every intention and desire is the mechanics for its fulfillment. Make a list of desires. Trust that when things don’t seem to go your way, there is a reason.

6. The Law of Detachment: Allow yourself and others the freedom to be who they are. Do not force solutions—allow solutions to spontaneously emerge. Uncertainty is essential, and your path to freedom.

7. The Law of Dharma: Seek your higher Self. Discover your unique talents. Ask yourself how you are best suited to serve humanity. Using your unique talents and serving others brings unlimited bliss and abundance.

Mombasa's Face is Changing - Rose Atieno you are Tourism my Hero today

When I first visited Mombasa almost 40 years ago - it was by far the best and cleanest city i had ever visited. i used to hear stories of Eldoret but never got a chance to visit it until probably 25 years ago. by then things had changed. Sadly over the years Mombasa was filled with filth and a center of crows. It begged for attention.

Mombasa is now my city for the last 32 years. Miraculously, I have seen it transform in real time in less than a year. The Garbage collection is on the path. The beutification is for real. The young country traffic marshals mean business. In a nutshell – there is something good  Governor Joho is doing for the county. This is to appreciate him with his team. Let us all join hands and revamp tourism for the region.

on another note - today I received a mail from a young dear friend working in Dubai. Her name is Rose Atieno have known her for more than 10 years.  In part this is what she wrote and I share it so that it can inspire all of us that we can make a difference in our own little way to our motherland.

I’m looking for Accommodation for some of my friends, it’s for 6 adults n 3kids(2,8,10years).. I’m selling Kenya like craze to all my friends and anyone I meet – Paul, I’m proud to be a Kenyan.

Rose - you are my hero

Nairobi is a clean city

I was overly impressed recently while in Nairobi to observe the level of cleanliness in the city. Politics aside and petitions etc, I appreciate what Governor Kidero and team has done for the city. If he goes out – it will be a tragedy for Nairobi. Hope he just stays.

Please catch people doing good things. In this way we will make a difference to our country.
