100 Years Sikhs in Kenya - The Destruction - was it really necessary?

We are a very ignorant lot. I have searched everywhere i could and have concluded that the act in Kisumu was grossly exaggerated. It is just a piece of art that was created in kisumu for the purpose of celebrating 100 year. its a masterpiece giving a story line of of a person in humbleness and submission. A sign of greeting. What surprises me most, the incitement came from church leaders who are supposed to be most informed lot. The sikhs don't even have idols in their temples. glad Hon. Raila tried to explain to the people who were not willing to listen. honestly, right thinking Kenya in Kisumu owe an apology to the Sikh community for the "persecution" and destruction of a very beautiful piece of art. i have attached pieces of art in Kenya that have survived because they are equally so beautiful.

A great piece of artwork at the University of Nairobi

Makhan Singh, an unsung Sikh hero of Kenyan and Indian freedom struggles
